Mobil James Bond Terjual US$4 juta

Mobil DB5 dilengkapi dengan pelontar kursi dan tameng antipeluru

Mobil Aston Martin perak yang pernah menjadi senjata andalan di film-film James Bond terjual US$4 juta dalam lelang di London.

Pemilik baru mobil Bond ini adalah Harry Yeaggy, kolektor asal Ohio, Amerika Serikat.

Yeaggy mengungkapkan tadinya ia tidak berencana membeli Aston Martin model DB5 ini.

“Saya mengira mobil ini akan dibeli kolektor Eropa. Tapi kemudian saya berpikir apresiasi mereka terhadap Bond tidak sebesar kami,” ujar Yeaggy.

Setelah dinyatakan sebagai pemenang lelang, ia mengendarai mobil Bond di jalan-jalan London sebelum menempatkannya di museum di Ohio.

Khusus untuk Bond

Mobil Bond dibuat pada 1964 dan mampu melaju dengan kecepatan 145 mil per jam.

Mobil ini dikendarai pemeran Bond, Sean Connery, dalam film Goldfinger dan Thunderball.

Mobil tersebut dilengkapi peralatan canggih seperti pelontar kursi, plat nomor yang bisa diputar, dan tameng antipeluru di bagian belakang.

Aston Martin memang sengaja membuat mobil ini untuk film-film Bond.
